What to do in Warsaw
If you are staying in Warsaw for a few days, have a look at the list of activities we recommend

Visit the Old Town
The Old Town is a perfect place for a walk on a sunny afternoon. We love the colourful buildings, cobblestone alleys, and beautiful views from here.
There are many restaurants serving traditional Polish food here (although it's the "tourist edition").
Walk down the Vistula Boulevards
Have a walk down the river between Świętokrzyski and Poniatowski Bridge and enjoy the riverside bars and restaurants along the way.
We like Paloma for drinks and small plates, and we also recommend checking out the food hall in Elektrownia Powiśle nearby, especially in the later hours of the evening.
In the same area, you will find Warsaw University Library Gardens at the top of the library, and the Copernicus Science Centre with a planetarium, which are also worth a visit.

Check out Krakowskie Przedmieście and
Nowy Świat street
Leaving the Old Town, it's a lovely walk down Krakowskie Przedmieście and Nowy Świat street (and it forms part of the longer Royal Route).
There are many bars, restaurants and historic buildings along the way.
See the city from the top of the Palace of Culture
The Palace of Culture and Science is right in the heart of Warsaw. It hosts many theatres, cinemas, art exhibitions, and museums. There is a viewing terrace at the top from which you can see the whole city.

Enjoy a Chopin concert outdoors and for free
This will be the 65th season of summer recitals and it takes place in a beautiful park in Warsaw - Park Łazienkowski - every Sunday from 12 to 4pm.
Regardless of whether you are attending a recital, we recommend visiting the park for a walk when the weather is good.
Visit the Multimedia Fountain Park by night
You can visit the fountain park during the day as it is a lovely place to see, but if you come here by night, there is a spectacle of dancing water, music and light which is quite beautiful to watch. The show only happens on Fridays and Saturdays. It will take place on 26th July at 9:30pm (and the day after, but I hear you have plans for then!).

Soak up the sun at Poniatówka Beach
Poniatówka Beach is on the opposite side of the river from central Warsaw and it's located nearby the National Stadium. You can take a free ferry to cross the river to get to the beach (of course you can use the bridge, too).
There are designated spaces here to have a BBQ or a bonfire.
Eat, drink, and have a good time!
Food Courts with great ambience:
Falla - for yummy vegetarian food on the way to the Old Town
Słoik - to have some pierogi & more in the city centre
Paloma - food and drinks by the river
Zapiecek - a chain of restaurants serving traditional Polish food (touristy, but we like it!)
Pawilony - a collection of bars where Jo used to go drinking in her youth :)
Francuska Street - trendy bars and cafes in a leafy district of Saska Kępa
Ząbkowska Street - for a different side of Warsaw
Night Market - an old railway station housing a night food market which is open in the summer from Thursday to Sunday
Zagrywki - activity bar with crazy golf, beer pong, karaoke rooms and more

Visit a museum
Here are some museums you may be interested in visiting:
The Warsaw Rising Museum - learn about the Warsaw Uprising during the II World War in this large, beautiful museum.
... and more
Swim outdoors on a hot day
It's a great way to cool down on a hot day. People often have a picnic and spend a few hours eating, swimming and enjoying the sun.
